Digitl have been creating digital film productions in various forms since 1998. We have made films to promote locations, documentaries for public services, adrenaline-packed moving pictures for mountain bikers and dog sledders, and many more. We know what it takes to make a video that stands out from the crowd.
Pre-Production and Project Planning: leave it to the experts.
Through planned meetings, discussions and location visits, we can put together a brief, a comprehensive film plan, and provide all the necessary legal and Health & Safety related paperwork before starting filming. We can arrange locations, model release forms, risk assessment documents and any other pre-production requirements your project entails.
High-definition - the format of the future.
We film our productions on ultra-high quality HD stock, using a professional-standard Sony HD1 camera. This format is only just starting to be used throughout the broadcasting world - while we currently downgrade our final productions to standard DVD quality, we predict an industry-wide shift to HD footage over the next 5 years - so you won't need to re-record your production as quality standards rise.
Post-production - the tools of our trade.
Digitl store our rushes on a dedicated 1 terabyte - 1000 gigabyte - drive, which allows us to keep the maximum of stunning quality digital footage in archive. We edit productions using Apple's powerful Final Cut Pro using our dedicated edit/audio facilities: we have never found any other editing program that offers the flexibility and ease-of-use for working with HD footage.
We use the industry standard effects package After Effects to add any final flair to our projects. Whether it's adding textures or backgrounds, making complex visual effects, designing titles to die for, or just brightening up shots, AE gives your project that sparkle that sets it out from the pack. Using Apple's own DVD Studio Pro lets us call the shots when producing our final DVDs. The program allows you to create your own DVDs with multiple-level menu systems, subtitles, multiple languages, themes and more.
The quality of the finished productions reflects the professional standard equipment used throughout out projects.
Soundtracks composed for you - and no-one else.
One of our standout services is our audio production facilities. We're lucky to have a couple of musicians on board, and have a small home recording setup which is used for the production of custom soundtracks for our productions. With a 12-track recording system and a set of dedicated instruments, we can score our productions the way you want them - with no worries about copyright either. Design, Packaging and Distribution.
As part of our service, we offer a packaging design and short-run duplication service. Want a bigger production run? No problem - we can arrange full-scale duplication from 50-1000+ units, for minimal cost.
