The Team

Cliché it may be, but Digitl is nothing without its people. Our team come from a range of backgrounds and disciplines, but we've got one thing in common: we love what we do.

Grahame JacksonGrahame Jackson
Director: New Business/Marketing

Much of the driving force behind Digitl comes from our New Business director, Grahame. An IT professional with 20 years experience in the industry, Grahame is responsible for bringing in new business, outlining proposals, managing prospects and marketing the company.

Grahame came to Digitl from Web Presentations, where he was Business Manager for three years.

Grahame is a big fan of technology - his living room converts into a fabulous nightclub, complete with laser shows, smoke machines and a neighbour-from-hell style sound system (we wish we were joking here, but no). He spends what little time he gets out of work playing with his two sons Connor and Kyran, polishing his car, and being dragged around Dumfries by his pet wolf, Jasmine.

James Coles

James Coles
Director: Hardware/Project Management

Founder of Web Presentations way back in 1999, James has a background in project management and a keen interest in design for the web. James manages hardware and support systems within Digitl, and is responsible for larger project management tasks.

James is a member of our local Mountain Rescue team, and spends a lot of time tracking the fallen all around Scotland.

Stephen ThompsonStephen Thompson
Customer Service/Client Management

Stephen has worked in internet publishing since 1995, delivering training and services within the Scottish Executive and various private sector clients, and holds a PGC in Multimedia and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy. Stephen is responsible for project management of Digitl's customer/client service portfolio, and is the ongoing point of contact for most of Digitl's clients.

It should be noted that Stephen does not actually own, or indeed ride a motorcycle - on the day of this photoshoot he spotted James' Kawasaki and refused to be parted from it. We eventually had to push him and the bike into the studio - something he was not best pleased about, as his expression clearly shows.

Peter GravesPeter Graves
Technical Programming/Design

Our genius-occasionally-in-residence, Peter joined us at Digitl when we started up, and writes the most beautiful and functional web apps we have ever seen.

Peter is a Mac junkie, with a museum-size collection of archaic Apple technology - he grudgingly runs a PC server, but won't even touch it, preferring to use VNC to connect it, probably in case he catches a virus. His latest acquisition is an AppleTV, which he admits is currently 'fairly useless'; we guarantee that he will be the first person we know with an iPhone too.

Mark BurnsMark Burns
Project Developer

An experienced IT professional, with a BSc in Multimedia Technology and several years experience in varied IT development roles, Mark handles the development of Digitl internet projects.

Mark is something of a CSS expert, with a fanatical approach to accessible design. He is responsible for the end-development of many Digitl projects, and is one of the best web developers we know.

Mark is usually the first person you'll speak to when phoning Digitl - much of his work also entails fixing Kit's code, and making excellent coffee.
